Officially called the Keystone Bridge, the structure shown in the adjacent watercolor is usually known to Rockport residents as the Granite Bridge. It is located near the offices of Granite Bridge Advisors, Inc. The artist, Martin Ahearn, A.W.S., is a graduate of Vesper George School of Art in Boston. He lives and works in Rockport and is represented here by An Artful Touch Gallery. Working almost exclusively in watercolor, he enjoys “the spontaneity of the medium and its freshness.” The painting is in the collection of Charles C. Francis, who is also a Rockport artist. |
